Our Story
Our program is named for our beloved Shih Tzu Winona, a puppy mill rescue who we lost young to congenital heart failure. She lived 3/4 of her life in a puppy mill and only got 3 short years in love and freedom with us. In our heartbreak my children decided they wanted to help other families have great dogs like Winona that also had great health. And I wanted to give parents a chance to live in a home as loved pets and fight puppy mills by giving families a better option.
I've been a dog trainer and behavior consultant for 20 years. My children and I are driven by a passion for helping families and dogs have great lives through genetics and temperament suited to families in the 21st century. This blog gives more detail on my motivation and thought process.

The Puppy Culture development program strives to prime young puppies for a great life by taking advantage of the critical developmental period from birth to 16 weeks. This includes POTTY TRAINING FOUNDATIONS.
The Enriched Puppy Protocol is designed for service dogs, but why wouldn't we want our pet dogs to be as comfortable in public and new situations as a service dog.
Social exposure to diverse people, dogs of all sizes, and new places and experiences. We want your puppy to be happy all the places you want to take them.
